Leftfield & Luscious

This will be the first public screening of my short film The Midnight Pen-pal in it’s entirety, very few have had the chance to see it as it has only been shown once before as part of an exclusive event by The Pictures earlier in 2011. The film was produced and created by myself, and an all girl-cast and crew in the East of London, the story is based on a poem I wrote of my experiences whilst living at ‘The Factory’ in Leytonstone in the summer of 2008. The full soundtrack was recorded and edited by myself completely un-sync to the visuals, and includes distorted and manipulated songs by; The Drop Five, Kate Nash, Goodnight And I Wish*, Theoretical Girl & Tree Carr . . .

I’d also like to announce the screening of another short called Young Souls, by the amazing DEAN CHALKLEY, I worked on the project towards the end of 2010/beginning of 2011 and Mr. Chalkley has done an amazing job producing the whole idea from sketchbook to screen.

Young Souls will be screened as part of the New Shorts 16: Music & Video  Program, on Thursday 12th January 2012. For more information on the screening, and how to book tickets, click here.
