The East Anglian Film Network are programming an evening of short films, all in the name of Halloween this Thursday 30th Oct at Anteros Arts, in Norwich. I’ve re-edited and produced some sound for a short audio-visual project myself and Brandon Jacobs collaborated on back in 2010.
We shot the film on black and white film, in the upstairs of The Griffin in East London. Brandon’s music project Goodnight And I Wish supplied the music and concept of Seance On A Wet Afternoon; based on the 1964 film of the same name, and we got a group of local faces together to created this visual story based on the idea of the paranormal, and the unknown. And now, a few years later, perfectly timed to fit in with the Autumnal season, and of course Hallows Eve, I thought I’d do a re-work of the original audio to make more of an interactive piece especially for a new audience. I’ve re-recorded some sound, messed around with it a bit, and made it a lot more experimental and intrusive to the ear.
Anteros will be the perfect place to hold the first screening, in a darkened attic, called ‘The Music Room’. We hope to see you there. Doors 7:30pm. Further info on the Facebook Group below;
